Lately I have noticed my face has felt dry and when I put moisturizer on it hasn't seemed to make much difference, only leave more build up and dead skin behind. I have tried using some exfoliatant types of products to help out, but nothing has really worked for me. I had my doubts about this Instant Peel Exfoliant, but figured I would try it regardless and see how it worked.
And all I can say is WOW. I am impressed!
I didn't know what to think of the actual product when I opened it in the shower and squeezed a little out in to my hand. It seemed awful runny and not thick or creamy at all. I doubted it would make a difference. But then I began rubbing it on and gently rubbing my skin. It was the strangest feeling having the skin start rolling off under my fingers as I rubbed my face. I knew that was what was SUPPOSED to happen, but it was still odd when it actually DID. I realized that less is more, so when I knew I had put too much in one area, I smoothed it to another area and kept rubbing my face.
I honestly felt like my face was never going to stop. Some areas rubbed clean super fast. But some of the other areas, like my forehead, took forever. But that was one of my problem areas that I have felt was getting really built up with dead skin and I have been working on. After my shower, my skin was a little rosy from the rubbing, but returned to normal quickly after. But it was the feel of my skin that amazed me. It was so soft and smooth! It was hydrated, though I still followed with my normal moisturizer. And it felt good like that for two days after!
I was so impressed I decided to have my 13 year old try it out, too. He has been using all of my different face masks and cleansers I get in, hoping that one will help his teenage acne. He does regular masks to help clear his skin up. So I handed him this last night and told him wash his face and instructed him on how to use it. When he got out of the shower he was impressed with how good his skin felt, but said he felt it looked redder than before. I told him it was red from the rubbing. This morning he got up and came in and said, "Look at my skin! It looks so much better today! I can't believe how much that one time helped it!" I haven't seen anything work on his acne as quickly as this did. I don't know if it simply helped clear up the pores and open them up by removing the layer of ick and dead skin on top that was clogging them and causing acne, or if it was the fact that it took off the layer of skin that had so much dried acne in it... But whatever it was, he was absolutely shocked and amazed. I may have lost my last few packets to his showers now...
Definitely something worth getting and using regularly. I am VERY impressed and will need to have more of this stuff on hand, especially if it keeps clearing up his face the way it does!
